~~Who are We?~~

This club is made in honor of the wonderful artists who are a part of the Fan Girl Army (of the webcomic Otaku no Yen fame). Anyone can stalk, but only official FGA members may join.


~~What is Otaku-no-Yen?~~

The brain child of Husband-Wife Duo Shannon "RoKu" and Richard "Drazz" Townsend, Otaku-no-Yen (OnY) follows the couple and their best friend Nobaku as the three lead their anime centric lives. These three have a passion for all things Japanese and from cons to role playing, they do it all. The current story arc follows Drazz as he travels to California to protest the countless edits in the manga series [u]Tenjho Tenge[/u]. Along the way he enlists the help of numerous fangirls, forming the Fan Girl Army. When Roku goes after him, she forms her own group of fanboys, Roku's Roughnecks.


~~What is the Fangirl Army?~~

We are female fans of the webcomic Otaku-no-Yen who are unhappy with manga edits. Under the direction of General Drazz, we have joined together to vocalize our distaste for needless censorship in manga translations here in America. We do this in a positive and lady-like fashion, such as not purchasing manga from censor-crazy publishers. Through letters and these positive protests, we are striving to make a difference.


~~What about Roku's Roughnecks?~~

Our sibling group, Roku's Roughnecks is made up of the male fans unhappy with the American translation of Japanese products. While the FGA focuses on manga edits, RR have taken on the daunting challenge of fighting censorship in anime. As sibling groups, there is a sense of respect for one another, though largely downplayed due to the intense rivalry of the sexes. At conventions where OnY fans gather in masses, competitions between the two often occur.


~~"How do I join?"~~

To join this community, you must be a member of the Fan Girl Army. Information on joining can be found on the Otaku-no-Yen Forums, under the heading of FanGirl Army Headquarters where an Enlistment thread is located. If interested in Roku's Roughnecks, information for enlistment can also be found on the forums. At this time, they do not have their own dA group.

Once General Drazz has approved you as a member of the FGA, PM the club with your OnY forum name, rank, and state division. We will add you to our roster as soon as we can.



~~NEW BUSINESS~~
-We are back up and open for business ladies! To prevent another black out like we just experienced, I would like seccure another moderator for this group. Interested applicants should visit the following [link] for more information.

-The first ever FGA Secret Santa is currently underway! I think it might be nice for those who participated to show off their gifts in a snapshot. We know funds were limited and many of you held off this time around. This is not meant to make anyone feel bad or judge the gifts everyone sent. But I know I'm curious to see what everyone else got! Thoughts regarding this issue would be appreciated. Please leave them in a comment on this post.
